Creative Chat Series - Pinterest & Living Abroad with @PinYourPassion
Hello! Over on IG I’ve been hosting a pop-up series of CREATIVE CHATS.
What’s that about? Well, each chat will:
Feature an awesome person
Share insights into their expertise
Include a coaching tip from me related to our work together
I hope to bring a spirit of fun & community and perhaps introduce you to someone new.
Each of these creative entrepreneurs are someone I’m grateful to have worked with in one way or another!
So, now that we’ve covered what the chats are about overall, let’s get into one! Today I want to share one of my favorite chats with you, PINTEREST & LIVING ABROAD with Silje of Pin Your Passion.
Instagram deleted it from my feed for mysterious reasons, so now it comes to life here! Let this be a tip to not rely too heavily on instagram for content storage, but I digress… ;)
About Silje:
Silje is a 32 year old adventurous Norwegian soul, living in Playa Del Carmen, Mexico. Running a Pinterest management business from the beach. ✌🏽
We chat Pinterest tips, living abroad as a creative business owner, and end with a fun share that involves sharks.
( Time markers in video: 01:11 Silje introduction; 03:37 Challenges of living abroad; 05:55 Tips if new to Pinterest; 09:15 Something fun, personal to share)
Coaching concepts for this chat:
Eye on the prize v.s. the daily waves (this actually came from a tip related to Pinterest analytics, and can apply to so much more in business strategy!).
For Pinterest, numbers like views, clicks, and other analytics can go up an down on a daily basis. Silje shared not to get too caught up in the day-to-day numbers, but to see the trends overall. And this is absolutely a concept in general! When we get too attached to the daily up and downs running a business we can lose sight of the bigger picture.
Identifying a passion outside of business that fuels you.
We chatted about our shared love of the beach and the ocean. And this ties in well with the concept of having a passion outside of business that fuels you.
I also run a photography business. I love photography and coaching and it’s easy to get especially caught up in work when its your business & your passion! Because I’ve burnt out in the past, I learned how essential it is to have a passion outside of business. That can be as simple as time in nature.
What is a passion outside of business that fuels you? Does that come easily to you or is it something you may want to cultivate?
Are you using Pinterest for your business?
Were you surprised by anything in this chat or in the post? I’m all ears!
